And it is not just individuals who are being targeted during the holidays, fraudsters often target businesses through corporate account takeover, attempting to gain access to online banking, ACH, or wire services. Extra caution with login credentials, one-time passcodes, and payment requests is especially important this time of year.
Remember: WestStar will never call and ask for sensitive information, including digital banking login information, balances, account details, or one-time passcodes. If you receive a call that you suspect is fraudulent, remember to Hang Up. Look Up. Call Back.
